Anna is a PhD candidate in Sociology, focusing on political  sociology and race and ethnicity viewed through the lens of public opinion. Her dissertation, "How free is speech on campus, and how free should it be? Tolerance, political ideology and the United States" investigates public opinion about free speech, controversial speakers, and tolerance of those with whom people strongly disagree, and it utilizes experimental survey methodologies. She received her A.B. from Harvard College in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations.
