The Theory Prize is given each year by the Theory Section of the American Sociological Association to recognize outstanding work in theory.
Barbara’s award winning article is titled, “The Moral Affordances of Construing People as Cases: How Algorithms and the Data They Depend on Obscure Narrative and Noncomparative Justice.”
